ALROSA diamond stock rises 5% to 1.18 bln crt in 2017

MOSCOW, Mar 6 (PRIME) -- Diamond inventories of Russian raw diamond producer ALROSA increased by 5% or 57.8 million carats to 1.182 billion carats in 2017, it said in a statement on Tuesday.

The Internatsionalnaya, Yebileinaya and Nyurbinskaya mines were the major contributors.

The company spent around 8 billion rubles on exploration in 2017.
